Tabitha’s Toys Charity was set up in memory of Tabitha Lees-Moore, a very special little girl from Weardale in County Durham who was born with a rare condition called Edwards Syndrome.

The charity’s aim is to loan sensory toys and equipment to children who are disabled and have complex needs.

Many parents and carers cannot take their children to sensory rooms in sports centres or schools as the children are often too poorly, transport maybe a problem and some children may need the equipment at special times that suit them, like three o’clock in the morning as many have poor sleep patterns. Therefore, it is essential that these children have this equipment at home.
